Thank you for visiting our web site. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We gather personal information from you only if you provide it to us voluntarily, and we use it only to book your use of Friends Meeting of Washington’s private event spaces and to send you communications regarding rental of our event spaces.
We maintain the privacy of your information using security technologies and adhere to policies that prevent unauthorized use of your personal information. By using the site, you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy. We do not share, rent or sell any contact information submitted to us by event space users or their guests except as described elsewhere in this policy.
Note: the privacy practices set forth in this privacy policy are for this web site only. If you link to other web sites from ours, please review the privacy policies posted at those sites.
What personal information do we collect, and how is it used?
We collect personal information you voluntarily provide us about the event you propose to hold in our spaces and personal information such as name(s), address, phone number, and email address. Such information is always voluntarily submitted by you (e.g., when you fill out the contact form, schedule a tour, book event space, or send us feedback). The information collected is used to send emails and other information we think will be of interest to you about events and our spaces. If for any reason you would like to be removed from our email list, you can unsubscribe by clicking on the unsubscribe link present in all our marketing messages, or by replying to the sender with “remove” in the subject line.
Will you share my personal information?
We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.
We may process or share data based on the following legal basis:
Consent: We may process or share your data if you have given us specific consent to use your personal information in a specific purpose.
Legitimate Interests: We may process your data when it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests. Examples include email marketing using a third-party tool.
Performance of a Contract: Where we have entered into a contract with you, we may process your personal information to fulfill the terms of our contract. Examples include a third-party tool for managing contracts and/or rental of our event spaces.
Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, as required by local or federal government requests, court orders, or a subpoena (including in response to public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements).
Vital Interests: We may disclose your information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
How will you keep my personal information secure?
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, please also remember that we cannot guarantee that the internet itself is 100% secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from us is at your own risk. You should only access the services within a secure environment.
